CSI I found that CSI is a huge example of the media constructing reality because it exemplifies the idea of a real justice case. Everything from the interviews, the chase scenes, to the science labs are constructed to appear as if it were in real life, only hugely dramatized. The scenes are dramatized to add excitement and interest, yet still appear at least partially realistic. This technique is used to keep the audience captivated while still bringing in great reviews and millions of viewers.


JURASSIC PARK

Jurassic Park is an excellent example of Key Concept # 2 because it shows how media controls reality in order to keep attention within the audience. It does so by mixing fiction (or in this case, the past) with modern technology to make the plot of the story exciting.
